This is a ten-day spectacular PHOTOGRAPHY Safari to the iconic locations of the Serengeti National Park with it ‘endless plains’ and Ngorongoro Crater in its infinite beauty and grace; and Tarangire National Park, which offers wondrous open savannah grassland, immersed with acacia woodland, baobab trees and dense wildlife. On this exceptional Safari adventure you will enjoy appealing scenery, the finest Tanzanian wildlife and game viewing occasions while riding in the impeccable comfort and style of our 4X4 Safari pop-up roof vehicles in the African wilderness. Professional drivers/guides will escort you to ensure you have a remarkable informed African Safari adventure and enjoy royal treatment during the entire Safari whilst in our care.

DAY 1: TRANSFER FROM AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up by a representative of Love & Dove Africa and transferred to Arusha city. [Arusha city]  is a lovely small town situated at the foot Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the perfect spot to spend a day or so prior to advancing any safari expeditions including mounting the Kilimanjaro. It has a range of quality restaurants, bars and local markets that you may visit to have am authentic view of the city. Other activities such as Day trips can be organized to Arusha National Park, National Museum and coffee plantations in and around Arusha, at request.

Once you arrive in Arusha city, you will spend your first night at Planet Lodge located in Moshono, a suburb in Arusha.

DAY 2 & 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After your breakfast at Planet Lodge, you will be met by a representative and driver/guide of Love & Dove Africa and briefed prior to commencing your Safari. [Please feel free to ask your guide any questions at briefing or during the course of the Safari]. You will then depart at approximately 7 O’clock and embark on an easy smooth drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is approximately 2850 square km (1096 square miles), and a distance of 118km (75miles) southeast of Arusha Town.

Tarangire National Park offers incredible open savannah grassland, immersed with acacia woodland, baobab trees, sausage trees and dense concentration of wildlife. Sighting large herd of elephants is quite common in this park. Wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, gazelles, elands, impala, antelopes, cheetah, leopards, mongoose, tree climbing pythons, lions and oryx can also be seen here. For bird lovers, an estimated 550 colourful bird species may be found here including yellow-collared lovebirds, hornbills, weaver, long-tailed paradise whydah and ostrich among others. Because visitors less frequent this Park, it is not crowded and is thus ideal for those who want to enjoy a serene Safari experience while seizing the authentic sights and sounds in the jungle.

Picnic Lunch boxes will be prepared for your tour. After your full day game drive, you will spend your overnight stay at Maramboi Tented Camp.
On your second day at Tarangire National Park, you may embark on a very early morning game viewing, an opportune time to catch a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions, which are only found here. After a few hours of an early morning game drive, you will return to Camp and a delicious breakfast will be served to you. You can then prepare for a full day game drive and viewing. Picnic Lunch boxes and drinks will be provided for your game drive. At the end of you game drive, you will return in the evening to Maramboi Tented Camp for your overnight stay.

DAY 4, 5, 6 & 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After your early breakfast, you will depart Tarangire National Park at approximately 7 O’clock and embark on your Safari to the famous Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti National Park in Maasai language means “endless plains” and is clothed with vast breath-taking landscapes, driving through the Serengeti is an authentic blend of the magical experience of Tanzanian wilderness and wildlife. It is the second largest national park in Tanzania and covers about 6,000 square miles of savannah, grasslands, hills, woodland, hills and riverine forests. The Serengeti National Park is also famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest migrate to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. The beauty of the Serengeti lies in its unimaginably vast plains filled with a variety of wildlife, and allows the visitors to roam the plains and embrace the magic of the wilderness. You will enjoy an exceptional evening game drive sighting several lions, elephant, elands, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, leopards, buffalos, gazelle, giraffes, topi, ostrich and hartebeest among many others. The Park is filled with a vast variety of Tanzania’s best wildlife and habitats that make for an incredible game viewing experience.

And you drive to Ndutu Kati Kati where you will spend the night.

On your second day, you will embark on an early morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park and then drive back to the Camp for breakfast. With your lunch boxes, you will depart the Camp and continue your game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Driving through the Serengeti is an authentic blend of the magical experience of the Tanzanian wilderness and wildlife. The Park is also famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest migrate to Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. Viewing the migration is an epic safari experience. It provides visitors a phenomenal pictorial and magnificently moving scene to the naked eyes. For those who enjoy photography, Serengeti’s vast open savannah provides an incredible backdrop to even the amateur photographers. The beauty of the Serengeti lies in its unimaginably vast plains filled with all wildlife, and allows the visitors to roam the plains and embrace the magic of the wilderness. You will view antelopes, lions, leopards, wildebeest, zebras and much wildlife here. You will continue your afternoon drive in the Serengeti. As the sun sets, the horizon of the Serengeti is movingly serene, ironically giving you an unexpected calmness in the African jungle. After your spectacular day of game viewing, you will retire for the night at Ndutu Kati Kati.

On your third day at Serengeti National Park you will continue your incredible exploration of the pristine sceneries of the Park. Your professional guide will frequently uncannily and instinctively spot wildlife, leading you through an authentic safari experience.  The vast plains, progressing hills, vivid stonework ridges and valleys of the Serengeti are a habitat for the diverse Tanzanian wildlife.

On this afternoon you may choose to stay at the Lodge, Ndutu Kati Kati and take a moment to write in your journal, engage in some reading or engage in walking safaris.

On your fourth day at Serengeti National Park you will enjoy a full day of game viewing. At the Serengeti, there is always a possibility of sighting ‘great migration’. Wildebeest and zebras are a common sight in these parts. The ‘great migration’ provides a spectacular photographic viewing which are thrilling moments to capture on film. Migration is normally an all year activity involving a million plus wildebeest and zebras roaming the vast plains in search of food and water. Some of the most dramatic migration moments happen when the wildebeest and zebras cross over rivers at which point they must endeavour to avoid the predators in their frantic battle to survive. Although, this dramatic undertaking of the migration cannot be precisely predicted, all Safari enthusiasts are certain to sight plenty of wildebeest and zebras while in the Tanzanian wilderness of the Serengeti.
Besides the migration, you will sight several wildlife and birdlife to wet your appetite of wildlife viewing.

At the end of your viewing experience for the day, you will retire to Nduti Kati Kati for a lovely evening. Enjoy a quiet relaxed evening by a bonfire, sharing stories of your days’ adventures in the African wilderness.

DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER
After your breakfast, you will depart the Serengeti for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is located within the Serengeti, is home to approximately 30,000 protected animals. The infinite beauty and grace of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is unique, submerged in deep crater valley and highlands, a soda lake in which thousands wildlife quench their thirst daily. It is at the Ngorongoro that you will relish the wonderful privileged of viewing the Big Five in one location. The Big Five are characteristically imposing, enormous and deadly animals, these include the rare black rhino, big-tusked elephants, black-mane lions, leopards and Lions, which tend to reside at the Ngorongoro. You will also sight buffalos, zebras, hyenas, wildebeest, flamingos, bat eared foxes, jackals, gazelles, cheetah and a high density of birdlife species. The beauty of this place is the lions are not afraid to walk up to your safari vehicles, giving you an authentic Safari experience.

Once you slope into the Ngorongoro Crater floor, you will find yourself submerged in the awesome picturesque backdrop of the immediate highlands and Tanzania’s rich wildlife, giving you a unique, equal to none game-viewing live experience. There is nothing quite like descending into this extinct crater floor. Because the Ngorongoro is so lush and an amazing land for animals to graze, the density of wildlife is quite concentrated which guarantees the visitor with a pleasurable game-viewing opportunity. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool picnic site. We recommend you visit Olduvai Gorge, where the revolutionary archaeological discoveries were made.

You will then continue your afternoon game viewing in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and retire for the night at Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE TO ARUSHA
Breakfast will be served. After breakfast, you will pack up your equipment and prepare to leave the lodge. Lunch boxes will be prepared for the final tour and departure back to Arusha for your overnight stay at Planet Lodge.

DAY 10: TRANSFER TO KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
